World In My Eyes : Drift 2 Final Video Extravaganza!

Here it is!!!!!!!!! My project is complete. My multimedia project is extremely artsy with just a touch of awesomeness. As I've said before, my goal was to capture nature and construction/Machines but capture it in a way that gave nature almost human characteristics. It also is a statement on how eventually nature will just grow over everything. I combined my sounds together to give a collage of machines that eventually go out of whack using the effects of Wah-wah on my editing program. The wah-wah effects in the end gave a gross, swampy feel to the sounds. I also crescendoed the machines to be mixed in with the footage, which gave the movie an eventual claustrophobic tense. It is not trying to be by all means cynical. It was all in good fun. I personally feel it looks quite well and though I may not have touched the subjects all the way keep in mind I wanted a short film. Truthfully, if I could try to explain my idea, we'd be here all day. I hope you have fun wtching.

The Policy of Truth: Rough Sound cut #2

The second sound cut I have for you folks is just a look at the progression of depressive images people may encounter in today's society. It starts off simple offshore looking at the sea and spirals downward into the pits of despair, eventually bringing us 360 degrees back to where we started. Have Fun!

Mercy In You: Sound Rough Cut #1

This is my first sound cut and it is a experiment in the claustrophobia nature would feel if it were a character in a movie. The sound is simply to get a rising tension in the movie to raise suspense and weariness. Enjoy!

This was an edited assortment of city clips. I was trying to show the effects we have on nature in a way. We have built our cities up and around nature so nature has nowhere to go but to run around in circle around the concrete structures we have built. Enjoy.

Walking In My shoes: My drift strategy and map

I decided for my project to go on a drift walk with a drift strategy on where I must walk. The footage was all up for grabs and anything was acceptable. The strategy was as follows:
Walk Left: Tails
Walk Right: Heads
I flipped a coin and we went from rural communities such as our starting point, to lakeshore, to city-city-city. It was a lot of fun because my girlfriend joined me for the trip. I originally wanted to capture footage of Nature with Human characteristics, and also capture construction site/wreckage footage to completely contrast. My goal was to contrast but give nature a human side as if it was a character out of it's natural habitat. My goal for sound was to capture mechanical sounds like heating vents and other machines. The still pictures I took are too scattered for me to mention the locations of all of them but they were on the walk. Overall it was a very fun experience. Enjoy ma-map
